Gillian Anderson

Gillian Anderson is the current Chief Nursing Officer at Beaumont Health. Prior to their current position, Gillian served as the Director of Nursing for Patient Care Services at Henry Ford Allegiance Health from November 2011 to March 2020. In this role, Gillian oversaw the day-to-day clinical operations for multiple units, including the Emergency Department, Clinical Decision Unit, MICU, PCU, Behavioral Health Unit, Pastoral Care, and Organizational Throughput Department. During their tenure, Gillian leveraged their background in lean processing to launch multiple initiatives which promoted patient flow across the care continuum. Some of their achievements include partnering with administrative and clinical team to achieve designation as a Level II trauma center, merging failing urgent care operations into emergency department to reduce operational costs by $3M, developing and launching a nursing residency for the critical care division, empowering staff to provide a higher standard of care, increasing patient and staff satisfaction, and collaborating with staff and leadership fully participating in the Magnet journey.

Before their time at Henry Ford Allegiance Health, Gillian served as the Clinical Nurse Manager for Women's Health & Med/Surg at St. John Providence Health System from September 2008 to December 2011.

Gillian Anderson began their educational career at Lady Verney High School for Girls. Gillian then attended the University of Brighton, where they studied Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. After completing their BSN at American Sentinel College, they pursued an MSN in Nursing Management and Leadership from the same institution. Finally, they completed their DNP in Strategic Leadership from Spring Arbor University.

Their manager is Benjamin Schwartz, President. Gillian Anderson works with Margaret Cooney Casey - SVP, Chief Development Officer & President, Beaumont Foundation, Hans Keil - SVP & CIO, and Derk Pronger - COO & President, Interim, Farmington Hills.
