Ian Zapata

Ian Zapata currently serves as the Director of Design at Corgan since November 2024. Previously, Ian held the position of Design Director at Gensler from 2008 to June 2023, focusing on creating meaningful architecture, mentoring design talent, and promoting excellence and innovation. Ian's earlier experience includes working as a Project Designer at Leo A Daly from 2002 to 2008, where project management and designing hospitality and aviation projects were key responsibilities. Ian began the architectural career as an Intern Architect/Designer at Corgan Associates from 1997 to 2002, gaining comprehensive knowledge in planning, design, and production. Educational background includes a degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and participation in Leadership Dallas.
