Elias Mitropoulos has extensive work experience in project management and sales engineering. Elias began their career at Sulzer Pumps as an Application Engineer from 1998 to 2000. Afterward, they joined the AEGEK Group of Construction Companies as a Procurement Engineer and Lead Commissioning Engineer, where they successfully completed the Thessaloniki-Skopje crude oil pipeline project.
Mitropoulos then returned to Sulzer Pumps as an MBA Projects Tendering Manager and Sales Engineer, handling coordination among various tendering groups and focusing on sales in the Italian market. Later, they joined Corinth Pipeworks as a Sales Coordinator, responsible for tendering and sales of oil and gas line pipes.

Elias Mitropoulos completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, where they attended a 5-year, full-time course from 1989 to 1994. Following this, Elias pursued further education in the field of Industrial Measurement Systems and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Brunel University London between 1994 and 1995.
In 2005 to 2006, Elias attended the ALBA Graduate Business School for studies in Business Administration and Management but did not specify the degree obtained during this period.
Apart from their academic qualifications, Elias also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification obtained in January 2022 from the Project Management Institute.
