Wolfram Volkwein

Wolfram Volkwein is a scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and biotechnology. Currently employed at Coriolis Pharma since January 2023, Wolfram previously held the position of operativer Leiter at Klinikum rechts der Isar, focusing on the GMP-compliant production and testing of somatic cell therapeutics and gene transfer medicines from August 2021 to December 2022. Prior experience includes scientific roles at the Bayrisches Landesamt für Gesundheit und Lebensmittelsicherheit (LGL), where Wolfram led a project on CRISPR/Cas technologies, and as a doctoral researcher at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, where research centered on the synthetic activation of translation elongation factor P (EF-P). With degrees in molecular biology, biology, and pharmaceutical chemistry, Wolfram has also contributed to projects at prestigious institutions such as the Max-Planck-Institut für Neurobiologie and various Fraunhofer Institutes.
