William Chesnutt

Director, Supply Chain And Logistics at Cormetech

William Chesnutt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. William began their career at Niota Textile Mills, where they served as a Sales and Human Resources Manager, overseeing production, sales, marketing, and HR activities. William achieved significant success by outperforming other shifts and securing a key corporate client.

Chesnutt then moved on to Altria, where they held various managerial positions. William served as a Manufacturing Management Development Intern before becoming an MRO Manager, Manager of Manufacturing Operations, Manager of Direct Materials, and Manager of Production Planning and Material Logistics. Throughout their time at Altria, they demonstrated strong leadership skills, improving inventory accuracy, reducing costs, and resolving union grievances.

After Altria, Chesnutt joined Sherwin-Williams as a Senior Supply Chain Manager and later was promoted to Supply Planning Manager and Asset Utilization Manager. In these roles, they played a crucial part in integrating legacy systems and implementing new planning tools. William also led a team responsible for forecasting demand, planning production, and improving shipment performance.

Most recently, Chesnutt joined CORMETECH as the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics.

William Chesnutt obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation and Logistics from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee from 1988 to 1992. William later pursued a Masters of Business Administration in General Management from the Wake Forest University School of Business from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, they earned a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from ASQ in October 2009 and an APICS CPIM certification from APICS in January 2008.
