Christy Devonport has over 25 years of experience in hardware design engineering and project management. Christy began their career in 1995 as an Associate Electrical Engineer at United Defense. In 1997, they worked as a Design Engineer at Stanford Telecom, where they were responsible for re-designing circuits and performing system integration and debug on the Residential Gateway. In 1998, Christy worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer at both Ascend Communications and Lucent Technologies. At Lucent Technologies, they designed hardware used in multiple generations of ATM switch product lines, including the Modular Processing Kernel (MPK). In 2004, Christy joined SilverStorm Technologies (formerly known as Infinicon Systems) as a Hardware Engineer. Christy was responsible for designing the 9000 family of DDR Infiniband fabric switching products. In 2006, SilverStorm Technologies was acquired by QLogic Corporation, where Christy worked as a Staff Hardware Engineer. During their time at QLogic, they were a major hardware contributor to True Scale Infiniband fabric, scaling from 18 to 864 ports up to 40 Gbps (QDR). Christy also designed Management Shuttle boards with embedded microprocessor cards, 18-layer count high speed fabric line cards, and QSFP daughter cards. In 2012, Christy joined Intel Corporation as a Technical Program Manager and Senior Hardware Platform Engineer. Finally, in 2020, they began working as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer / Project Manager at Cornelis Networks.
Christy Devonport attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1989 to 1995 and earned a BS in Electronic Engineering. During that time, they also attended University of Bradford from 1991 to 1992 as part of the CSU International Programs.
