Marisa Bauzá-Román

Software Engineer at Cornelis Networks

Marisa Bauzá-Román has over 17 years of work experience. Marisa began their career in 2003 as a System Programmer at the University of Pennsylvania, where they developed custom software using Microsoft C and C++ for the Center for Retinal Degenerations, Dept. of Ophthalmology. In 2008, they became a System Administrator for Unix servers and students' workstations for the Physics Dept. at Drexel University. In 2009, they took on a freelance role at WHFreeman. From 2010 to 2012, they were an Adjunct Professor at Rowan University and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Ursinus College. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor at Widener University, where they taught Introductory Physics for engineering and science students and was in charge of laboratories. Marisa also conducted a research project studying the electrical properties of multilayer graphene. In 2020, they joined Cornelis Networks as a Software Engineer.

Marisa Bauzá-Román obtained a PhD in Biophysics from Drexel University between 2006 and 2012. Marisa also holds an Electrical engineer 6 year degree from the University of Buenos Aires and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Miami.
