HPC Performance Engineer at Cornelis Networks

Raafat Feki has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Raafat began as a Research and Development Engineer at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where they implemented a solution to auto-tune CUDA parameters used within a library. From there, they moved to FIS in 2016 as a Software Engineer, where they were in charge of developing, testing, and bug fixing for financial market data from real-time data feed connectivity with Trading Exchanges. In 2015, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Kalray, where their main goal was to design and develop an efficient and optimized solution to intercept OS system calls issued on compute clusters and execute them remotely on one of the I/O clusters. In 2021, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Brightskies, where they implemented a full support of NVIDIA GPUDirect Storage (GDS). Finally, from 2017 to 2022, they worked as a PhD Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Houston.

Raafat Feki has an extensive educational background. Raafat began their studies in 2005 at the Conservatory of Music in Sfax, where they earned a 5 in Music. From 2006-2010, they attended Pioneer School of Sfax and obtained a Baccalaureate degree in Mathematics. Raafat then moved on to the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies - Sfax (IPEIS) from 2010-2012, where they earned an Associate's Degree in Mathematics and Physics. From 2012-2015, they attended the National school of computer science (ENSI) and obtained an Engineer's degree in Computer Science. Currently, they are studying at the University of Houston, where they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science.
