Takuma Osaka

Takuma Osaka is a Machine Learning Engineer at Cornell Data Science, where experience includes developing a computer vision program with YOLO that provides basketball statistics and a Flask-based backend for golf swing metrics. Previously, Takuma worked at a Stealth Startup, fine-tuning a transformer-based Vision-Language model for medical report generation from X-ray images. Additionally, Takuma served as an Optimization Engineer at Symbiotic Engineering and Analysis Lab, focusing on multi-objective optimization to enhance fish yield and reduce costs for an aquaculture farm. Takuma is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Cornell University, expected to graduate in 2025, following education at The American School in Japan.
