Matthew Reiter

Matthew Reiter, PE, SE, serves as a Professor of Practice at Cornell University, where responsibilities include teaching courses in structural behavior and design and directing the Professional Masters Program in Structures. Reiter also manages the Architecture and Structural Engineering Section within the Facilities Engineering Department, overseeing staff and providing architectural and structural design services for university projects. As Team Leader for Facilities Engineering Stewardship, Reiter leads initiatives to create and implement University Design and Construction Standards. Previous experience includes serving as a Project Engineer at Thornton Tomasetti, delivering structural engineering services, and directing construction efforts for a primary school in rural Honduras. Matthew Reiter holds multiple degrees in civil engineering and engineering management from Villanova University and Cornell University.
