Michael Moyer

Michael Moyer is an experienced development professional with a strong background in higher education advancement. Currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Principal Gifts at Cornell University since December 2020, Moyer previously held various leadership roles at Virginia Tech from August 2015 to December 2020, including Associate Vice President of Advancement for Colleges and Units and Associate Vice President of Development for Colleges. Earlier career experiences include positions at Cornell University, where Moyer was Assistant Dean for Alumni Affairs and Development for both the College of Engineering and the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning from October 2007 to August 2015. Moyer also contributed to The Johns Hopkins University from 2001 to 2007 in multiple development roles. Moyer began a career in consulting at the Sales Strategy Institute in late 2000. Educational qualifications include a BS in Business Management and Political Science from Trinity University.
