Sophie Alber

Sophie Alber is an accomplished undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Cornell University, with extensive experience in software development, research, and education. Currently serving as an Application Optimization Intern at Avient Corporation, Sophie successfully developed a data migration process that saved significant time for multiple plants. As a Human Computer Interaction Undergraduate Researcher, Sophie is involved in building an Android mobile application to enhance data autonomy for Home Care Workers. Additional roles include teaching assistantship in algorithms, software engineering internships, and impactful work as an Ignite Fellow with Teach For America, resulting in notable improvements in student math proficiency. Sophie's extracurricular involvement includes participation in various organizations focused on computing, safety leadership in the Cornell Concrete Canoe Project, and contributions to the advancement of programming skills among peers.
