Brian Mullery

Brian Mullery has over 25 years of work experience in the field of emergency management and consulting. Brian is currently a Senior Principal Consultant at Corner Alliance. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2023, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Covenant Park Integrated Initiatives. From 2008 to 2018, Brian worked as a Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. Brian also held positions such as Program Manager at SRA International Inc. from 2006 to 2008, and Director of the Center for Emergency Management at System Planning Corporation from 2004 to 2006. Brian has a diverse background, including experience as a Program Manager at RPI/BTG/Titan Corp. from 2001 to 2004 and as an Emergency Management Specialist at the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety from 2000 to 2001. Brian also served as a Firefighter at Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company in 2000 and as an Emergency Management Specialist at the York County Emergency Management Agency from 1996 to 2000. Brian's career began as an Emergency Medical Technician at White Rose Ambulance from 1995 to 1999.

Brian started their education journey in 1993 at York College of Pennsylvania, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Brian successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1998.

In 1994 and 1995, Brian attended Suffolk County Community College, focusing on Fire Protection Technology. Although they did not obtain a degree from this institution, their studies provided him with valuable knowledge in the field.

From 2001 to 2003, Brian pursued a Master of Science degree in Public Safety Management at Saint Joseph's University. This program provided him with advanced knowledge and skills in managing public safety initiatives.

In 2002 and 2003, Brian further expanded their expertise by attending The George Washington University, where they focused on Crisis, Emergency, and Risk Management. Although they did not obtain a specific degree in this field, their studies enhanced their understanding of emergency management.

Throughout their career, Brian has obtained several certifications related to emergency management. In 2003, they became a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) through the International Association of Emergency Managers. This certification demonstrates their expertise in handling emergency situations.

In 2005, Brian became a Professional Emergency Manager certified by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. This certification further validates their proficiency in emergency management.

Brian acquired the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2008, showcasing their skills in project management within the field of public safety.

In 2014, Brian earned the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification conferred by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI International). This certification demonstrates their knowledge and competency in business continuity planning.

Additionally, Brian obtained the Professional Continuity Practitioner - Level 1 certification from FEMA in 2018, accrediting their expertise in ensuring continuity during crises.

Brian also holds several Emergency Medical Technician certifications. Brian obtained the Emergency Medical Technician certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Health in 1998 and from the Virginia Department of Health in 2002. In 1995, they received the same certification from the New York State Department of Health.
