Robert Kay

Board Member at Cornerstone Community Care

Rob studied at Sheffield University and was an NHS National Management Trainee at Manchester Business School. He worked for 25 years in strategic change management and service development in the NHS, Social Work, and Voluntary Sector across the UK, living in Scotland since 1991. Since 2006 he has divided his time mainly between supporting his son, who has complex learning disabilities, and part-time employment as a social research interviewer.

Rob is a Fellow of the Centre for Welfare Reform. He served as a Trustee and/or Chair of three UK and Scottish charities in the fields of Arts and Disability and Carers advocacy, and was a co-founder and business director of a multicultural music and dance festival in his home town of Kilsyth. He is a recent General Secretary of the Electric Boat Association.
