Cornerstone Community Outreach
Tammy Perlmutter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental stewardship, community engagement, and administrative management. Currently serving as the Assistant Agency Technical Administrator at Cornerstone Community Outreach since April 2023, Tammy is dedicated to assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Chicago. Concurrently working as a Master Naturalist for the Forest Preserves of Cook County and as a Sustainability Leader with the Chicago Conservation Corps, Tammy actively promotes environmental education and community sustainability initiatives. Previous roles include founding The Mudroom, office management at New Life Community Church, and serving as Women's Coordinator at Jesus People USA, in addition to editorial positions at Cornerstone Press Chicago. Tammy's educational background includes a Master Naturalist certification in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Fellowship from the C.S. Lewis Institute in Theology.
