Emily Broda

Emily Broda joined Cornerstone in April of 2023 as an associate for their federal government relations team. She supports client teams in a variety of issue areas including education, not-for-profits and appropriations.

Emily previously served as an appropriations intern at the firm in spring 2023, where she was responsible for tracking Members of Congress’ programmatic, language and community project funding request deadlines. She completed more than 500 appropriations and earmark request forms on behalf of the firm’s clients and assisted their associates and principals with necessary administrative tasks. In fall 2022 she served as a policy intern, where she covered congressional hearings and prepared memoranda detailing relevant legislative information for clients across several policy areas.

Prior to her two intern sessions with Cornerstone, Emily was a lobbying & policy intern at Thompson Coburn LLP. In this role, she conducted policy research on K-12 and postsecondary education and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure for respective clients; focused on public education, student loan servicers and EV purchase incentives.

Emily graduated with a master’s in public administration from George Washington University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in politics with a minor in Hispanic studies from Catholic University.
