Motaz Al-Chanati

Motaz Al-Chanati is an associate at Cornerstone Research. Motaz received their doctorate from Columbia University in the City of New York in Applied Microeconomics and Industrial Organization. Motaz's research focuses on understanding how schools affect residential sorting patterns and the efficiency of ridesharing platforms as compared to taxi markets. Motaz has also collaborated with officials at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to study a policy reform that abruptly removed families from their cash welfare program (TANF).

Motaz Al-Chanati has a PhD in Economics from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Applied Mathematics-Economics from Brown University, and an IB Diploma from UWC Red Cross Nordic.
