Benjamin Young

Benjamin Young is currently a Team Leader and Senior Precision Metrology Engineer at Corning Optical Communications, a role they have held since 2021. They previously worked as a Precision Metrology Engineer and held multiple engineering internships, where they managed international vendors and developed methods for evaluating consumables. Benjamin also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University and as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they created algorithms for data interpretation. They earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University.
