Sunghoon Lee

Sunghoon Lee currently serves as a Principal Research Scientist at Corning Incorporated, leading projects in multiscale materials modeling and managing a materials modeling team. Sunghoon's expertise encompasses high-throughput glass (ceramic) design, glass-polymer adhesion, functional coatings, and atomic layer deposition precursor development. Previously, Sunghoon held a Senior Research Scientist position, where responsibilities included glass composition design and research on thermochromic and electrochromic materials. Prior experience at Samsung Corning involved leading a computational modeling team focused on cathode materials for Li-ion batteries and GaN growth. Sunghoon's early career included an internship at Seagate Technology, emphasizing thin film deposition techniques. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. from Penn State University, an MS from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and a BA from Hanyang University, all in Materials Science and Engineering.
