Hank Dempsey

Hank Dempsey is a public policy expert with over 15 years of experience in state and local government. Hank currently serves as the Director of Coro Northern California, a nonprofit leadership development organization. Prior to their current role, Hank served as the Head of State and Local Government Affairs at Dropbox, where they provided strategic and policy guidance to the executive staff on the development of regulations to implement the California Department of Toxic Substances Control’s Green Chemistry Initiative. Hank has also worked as a Senior Consultant for the California State Assembly’s Local Government Committee and as the Chief Consultant for the Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee. In these roles, they advised legislators on a variety of issues including the Brown Act, government contracting, transportation, joint powers, the Political Reform Act, tax assessors and municipal law. Hank is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law and UC Davis.

Hank Dempsey attended the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and obtained a J.D., Juris Doctor. Hank then attended the University of California, Berkeley and obtained an MPP in the field of Masters of Public Policy. Finally, they attended the University of California, Berkeley again and obtained a BA in Political Science. Hank Dempsey is also certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPPUS).
