Prior to that, they served as a Corporate Associate at Day Berry & Howard (aka Day Pitney) from 1987 to 1989. Christopher'searliest known position was as a Litigation Associate at Whitman & Ransom, a position they held from 1983 to 1987.

Christopher Meyering attended Georgetown University Law Center from 1980 to 1983, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree with a focus on Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law, as well as Litigation. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate education at Georgetown University from 1976 to 1980, earning a Bachelor's degree in History and English. During their time at Georgetown University, they also achieved an A.B in English and History. Before their university studies, Christopher attended Greenwich High School.
