Julian Band

Julian Band has a strong work experience in various positions and companies. Julian started their career with Discovery Holdings in 1999, where they worked as a Web Business Analyst and later as a Business Analyst. Julian then became a Senior Business Analyst in the Internet Division, where they established electronic messaging capabilities and led strategic partnerships. After that, Julian worked as a Divisional Manager for Digital Communication and the Vitality Rewards Programme, where they managed the rewards system and led the redesign of the company's website.

In 2006, Julian joined SABMiller, initially working as a Financial Projects Manager. Julian later became an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, responsible for identifying and implementing strategic projects and improving the supply chain. Julian also served as the Chair of the Coca Cola South Africa Bottler Supply Chain Forum. Julian then worked as an Operations Manager, overseeing the improvement of product availability.

Currently, Julian is Head of Strategy & Execution - Personal Investments at Coronation Fund Managers. Julian has successfully implemented the company's strategic business objectives and led various initiatives, including the design and build of Coronation's Digital Investment Platform. Julian also designed and built an industry-first mobile-only customer onboarding experience.

Julian Band obtained a Bachelor of Business Science degree with a specialization in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town, which they completed between 1994 and 1998. In 2005, they also attended INSEAD and earned an MBA, although the field of study for this degree is not specified.
