Teresa Safon

Corporate Secretary & Chief of Staff at Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Teresa Safon was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Chief of Staff at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) in October 2014. In her role, she works collaboratively across the organization to ensure strong internal communications. She serves as a liaison between the CPB Board of Directors and staff, representatives of national organizations, public broadcasting stations, and members of the public. She oversees board processes, meetings, and activities, and ensures that the CPB Board of Directors and executive leadership are briefed on issues of corporate governance and matters for board consideration and action.

Teresa Safon joined CPB in 1999 as Assistant Corporate Secretary. In November 2004, she was appointed Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining CPB, she was assistant director of the Faberge Arts Foundation from 1997 to 1999, overseeing projects to support the decorative arts and historic preservation in St. Petersburg, Russia. She holds a bachelor's degree in Slavic languages and literature from Princeton University and a master's degree in history from Georgetown University.
