John L. Simon

Mr. Simon is a real estate development consultant. He served for three years as Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning, for the Howard Hughes Corporation (NYSE: HHC) where he was involved in projects ranging from master-planned communities to redevelopment of commercial properties. He is retired Senior Vice President and Managing Director in charge of all real estate development for Taubman Centers, Inc. (NYSE:TCO), a real estate investment trust that owns, develops, acquires, and operates regional shopping centers. During his distinguished 27-year career at Taubman, Mr. Simon contributed to the development of over 40 regional centers, in the U.S. and abroad, as well as worked on convention center expansions, sports stadiums, theatres, and other commercial developments. Mr. Simon is former Executive Director of Pineapple Square Properties, LLC which led to the revitalization of downtown Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Simon is a charter member of the Downtown Sarasota Alliance and former Board Member and Governance Officer of The Sarasota Ballet. Mr. Simon is currently CEO of Simon Development, LLC and Simon Real Estate Management, LLC.
