Klemens Martin Kaar

Klemens Martin Kaar has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy industry. Klemens Martin currently serves as the Project Development Director at Corre Energy, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Ørsted from 2016 to 2022, holding various roles including Senior Lead Business Developer, Senior Business Developer & Project Development Manager, Team Lead - Wind to Hydrogen, and Senior Risk Manager.

Before joining Ørsted, Kaar worked as an Energy Project Consultant at Bechtel, KBR, Hager & Elsässer from 2013 to 2016. In this role, they were involved in EPC planning, scope & stakeholder management for oil refinery and crude processing facilities projects. Klemens Martin also developed modular membrane bioreactor systems for waste water recycling.

Their earlier experience includes working at VA TECH WABAG LTD. from 2004 to 2013. There, they served as a Project Manager, overseeing international industry plant engineering projects in Austria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. Klemens Martin also worked as a Process Engineer, designing process units for water and wastewater treatment and biogas production. Additionally, they have experience as an R&D Engineer, focusing on the commissioning and operation of membrane bioreactor systems and waste-to-energy pilot plant optimization.

From 2001 to 2007, they attended the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) where they earned a Master of Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) in Environmental Process Engineering.

In 2007, they undertook a scholarship program at Griffith University as part of their Master of Engineering.
