Dimitris Triantafyllidis has worked in a variety of roles in the aerospace and technology industries. In 2021, they began working as Corporate Venture Capital at Aramco Ventures, a corporate venturing subsidiary of Saudi Aramco. In 2022, they took on a Non-Executive Director role at CorrosionRADAR. From 2006 to 2021, they held various roles at Rolls-Royce, including Chief of Emerging Technologies, Emerging Technologies Manager - Future Technologies Group, Operations Manager - New Product Introduction, Civil Aerospace, Technology Leader - Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Aerospace, and Manufacturing Technologist. In these roles, they led a global team of engineers and scientists, identified and developed emerging technologies with significant business potential, and was responsible for operations management, team and technology strategy, R&D, personnel development, and continuous improvement. Dimitris also delivered new processing equipment acquisition projects, achieved the automation of manufacturing processes, and delivered a 95% improvement in Right-First-Time through a Six Sigma Green Belt project in manufacturing processing.
Dimitris Triantafyllidis obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester in 2004. Dimitris also obtained an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Systems Management from The University of Manchester in 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester in 1999. Dimitris also holds a Non-Executive Directors certification from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), which they obtained in November 2022.
