Iain Holness

Iain Holness has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Iain is currently working as a CC Program Manager at Corsec Security, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior resource at EWA-Canada, An Intertek Company from August 2019 to April 2022.

Before joining EWA-Canada, Iain worked at Cygnacom Solutions as a Senior CC Evaluator and Security Engineer from December 2013 to July 2019. Iain also gained valuable experience at SafeNet / Gemalto, where they served as a Security Analyst from February 2007 to August 2013. In this role, they led and guided various products through CC evaluations, FIPS validations, and other security evaluations. Iain effectively managed deliverables from cross-functional team members, generated evidence, and worked with test labs.

Prior to SafeNet / Gemalto, Iain worked as a Security Consultant at CGI from May 2002 to February 2007. Iain also held several roles at JAWZ / GNS as a Security Consultant from July 2001 to March 2002. Iain started their career at Entrust, where they worked as a Customer Support / Deployment Specialist / Knowledge Base Prime / Release Engineer from February 1996 to June 2001.

Earlier in their career, Iain gained experience at Queen's University as a Site Technical Advisor - Computing Services from September 1990 to April 1996. Iain provided assistance to the university community with software and computer issues. Iain also served as a Systems Programmer - Computing Services from May 1993 to September 1993, where they developed and implemented an email-based purchase order system and promoted the use of "Pine" as the standard campus email package.

Iain has also worked at the Department of National Defence / Ministère de la Défense nationale as an ITIS Lab Manager - 1st Canadian Division HQ - 1CDHSR from July 1994 to February 1995.

Iain Holness has an extensive education history in the field of information technology. Iain attended St. Lawrence College from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a Diploma in Computer Engineering. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computing Science at Queen's University from 1987 to 2004.

In recent years, Iain furthered their education at Athabasca University. From 2019 to 2021, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Information Security. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems at the same institution, which started in 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2025.
