Cornel B. Fuerer

SVP, General Counsel at Corteva

Cornel B. Fuerer is the SVP, General Counsel at Corteva. Cornel has held this position since May 2019. Prior to that, they were the General Counsel, Agriculture Division at DowDuPont from September 2017 to May 2019.

Before joining DowDuPont, Cornel was the VP, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Solae from November 2007 to May 2012. As part of the business global leadership team, they helped design and execute a turnaround of the business through increased focus on earnings, differentiated business management and response to unprecedented commodities cost increases and unprecedented financial environment. Cornel also elevated Solae’s compliance performance and culture through the establishment of an ethics and compliance program leading to Solae’s recognition as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by The Ethisphere Institute in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

From June 2012 to July 2013, Cornel was the Corporate Secretary at DuPont. Prior to that, they were the Legal Manager at DuPont from September 1995 to October 2007.

Cornel B. Fuerer completed an Executive Leadership Series at IMD, followed by an LL.M in Law at the New York University School of Law. Cornel then obtained a law degree from the University of Geneva, before completing a Maturité Fédérale et Baccalauréat in Latin & English at the Gymnase du Belvedère. Cornel also has certification from the Delaware Supreme Court in Bar Admission (Rule 55.1), as well as from the State of Iowa - Executive Branch in Bar Admission. In addition, they are certified by the New York State Supreme Court in Bar Admission and by the State of Geneve in Bar Admission.

They work with Robert King - EVP, Crop Protection Business Unit, Sam Eathington - SVP, CTO, and Dave Anderson - CFO. Cornel B. Fuerer reports to Chuck Magro, Chief Executive Officer.
