Ricardo Couto-Rodríguez

Ricardo Couto-Rodríguez, Ph. D., currently serves as a Soil Microbial Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Corteva Agriscience since August 2023. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Florida's Department of Microbiology and Cell Science from August 2018 to May 2023, where significant contributions were made towards understanding lysine acetylation in Haloferax volcanii and conducting various biochemical profiling assays. Additionally, Ricardo taught microbiology laboratory courses and collaborated on course structure, while previous roles at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez involved laboratory technician duties for AMGEN BioTalents Workshops, teaching undergraduate lab courses, and assisting in research projects focused on microbial communities and novel strain characterization. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida, a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the same institution.
