John Petrov With over 17 years of human resources experience, serves as an employee advocate with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to all. Mr. Petrov and his team are responsible for setting the vision for caregiver engagement that aligns with The Guthrie Clinic’s Mission, Vision, and Values while promoting a culture of diversity, inclusion, innovation, life-long learning, and talent development. Mr. Petrov joined Guthrie from CHI Saint Joseph Health in Lexington, KY where he served as their SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer and VP, HR for its parent entity, CommonSpirit Health. Throughout his career, Mr. Petrov has positioned several of his past employers to be recognized among the Best Places to Work in the communities they serve. He received his Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Briar Cliff University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. Mr. Petrov is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute, is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional. Mr. Petrov also has obtained his Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the USF Muma College of Business.
