Jill Long

Member Of The Preliminary Proceedings Committee at CORU - Regulating Health + Social Care Professionals

Jill Long possesses extensive experience in healthcare and professional regulation, currently serving as a Fellow with the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists since April 2022. Long is a Board Member of Medical Council Ireland and holds multiple committee positions, including Member of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal with the Legal Services Regulatory Authority and Member of the Preliminary Proceedings Committee with CORU. Previous roles include Independent Chairperson for the National Recruitment Service and Member of the Board of Directors at Peamount Healthcare, where responsibilities included chairing the Quality and Safety Committee. Long has also contributed to various professional groups, including serving as Deputy Chair of the Fitness to Practise Committee for NMBI and as a Member of the Advisory Board for the European Forum for Primary Care. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Health Services Management from Trinity College Dublin, a Post Graduate Diploma in Prosthetics and Biomechanics from the University of Strathclyde, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of East London.
