Nicole Bruskewitz has a wealth of experience in the education field. Nicole began their career in 2004 as an Environmental Educator at the University of Iowa. Two years later, they became an English Teacher at YWCA USA, followed by a Bilingual Teacher position at School District U-46. In 2007, they moved to Chicago Public Schools to become an ESL Teacher, and also took on the role of Community Relations Coordinator at Akazul. From 2013 to 2014, Nicole was a Teacher Trainer at Enseña por Colombia, where they trained new teachers in foreign language teaching and carried out classroom observation and professional development for teachers in at-risk schools in Bogotá and Urabá. Nicole also worked as an Instructional Designer + Curriculum Developer at SENA during this time. In 2010, Nicole became a Professor of English as a foreign language for undergraduate, MBA and doctoral students at Universidad de Los Andes, where they specialized in oral communication, public speaking, academic and research writing. Finally, Nicole has been the Director of Education and Programs at Coschool since 2017.
Nicole Bruskewitz began their educational journey in 2002 when they attended the University of Iowa, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in English and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2006. Nicole then participated in a Study Abroad program at the School for International Training, focusing on Grassroots Social Change and Community Organizing, from 2005 to 2006. In 2009, they obtained a Teaching Certificate from Quincy University in Elementary Bilingual Education. Finally, they completed a Masters in Education from Universidad de Los Andes in 2013.
