Golafsoun (Goli) Ameri

Head of Research at Cosm Medical

Golafsoun (Goli) Ameri has had a varied and impressive career. From 2012-2018, they were a Graduate Student Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western University. In 2013, they were a Research Intern at Philips. From 2012-2018, they were a Research Assistant and Post-graduate Assistant at Robarts Research Institute, where they were responsible for finalizing the testing of a 3D Slicer module for release and leading an evaluation study of the augmented reality ultrasound guidance system using a custom-made spine phantom. In 2018, they became Head of Research, Chief Scientific Officer, and Senior R&D Engineer at Cosm Medical. From 2009-2012, they were a Teaching Assistant at Ryerson University, where they were recognized as the best TA in 2010 in the Physics Department.

Goli Ameri completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering and Image-guided Interventions at Western University from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Medical Physics from Ryerson University from 2009 to 2011. Golafsoun (Goli) also earned their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University from 2005 to 2009.
