Ivan Glasser has worked in a variety of roles throughout their career. In 2020, they became the Simulation and AI Lead and Senior Research Engineer at Cosmo Tech. From 2013 to 2020, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics. During this time, they designed new machine learning algorithms, researched tensor decompositions and probabilistic graphical models, and applied machine learning to study quantum systems. Ivan'sPhD thesis was on "Tensor networks, conformal fields and machine learning: applications in the description of quantum many-body systems". Ivan also served as a teaching assistant in physics at the Technical University of Munich. From 2013 to 2011, they were a Freelance Data Scientist. From 2011 to 2009, they were an Intern at Интех-НСК, Systems Integrator. Finally, from 2009 to 2011, they were an Officer of the watch for the Marine Nationale, where they were in charge of navigation and safety of the ship, led a team of 10 people, and taught mathematics and physics.
Ivan Glasser began their education in 2004 at Cité Scolaire Internationale de Grenoble and earned a Baccalauréat Scientifique and Abitur Diploma (French and German A-levels). Ivan then attended Lycée du Parc from 2007 to 2009, where they earned a Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles MPSI/MP* in Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics. In 2009, Ivan earned a Bachelor's Degree from École Polytechnique in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science. From 2011 to 2012, Ivan attended École Polytechnique again, earning a Diplôme d'ingénieur (MSc) in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Ivan then attended University of Cambridge from 2012 to 2013, earning a Master of Advanced Studies (MSc) in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Finally, Ivan attended Technical University of Munich from 2013 to 2018, earning a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Theoretical Physics and Machine Learning.
