Dr Ankur Arora

Dr. Ankur Arora is an accomplished expert in artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Mastercard since July 2014. As the first employee in the AI Garage, Dr. Arora successfully scaled the team from one to one hundred employees, establishing AI infrastructure and developing multimillion-dollar AI products. Prior roles include Assistant Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, where Dr. Arora focused on creating AI models for merchant businesses, and Senior Specialist in Artificial Intelligence, contributing to global product development through machine learning and graph theory. Previous experience includes a Senior Data Scientist position at InterGlobe Technologies and a Research Associate role at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, where Dr. Arora earned a PhD in Data Science. An engineering background is also evident, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
