Juan Lafuente

Juan Lafuente has extensive work experience in various roles within the agriculture and manufacturing industries. Juan started their career as an Operations Trainee at British American Tobacco in 1996 and worked their way up through various managerial positions within the company, including Leaf Processing Manager, Product Executive, Quality Manager, and Supply Chain Manager. Juan also held positions as Factory and Supply Chain Manager in Turkey, Northen Cyprus, and Israel, and as a Manufacturing Manager in South Africa. Lafuente then served as the Director of Operations in Venezuela and the Director of Operations for the Southern Cone Hub, overseeing operations in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador, and Colombia. In 2016, they joined Costa Farms as the General Manager of Costa Color and later assumed the roles of Senior VP Operations and Chief Operating Officer - Senior Vice President.

Juan Lafuente has a diverse educational background that spans several fields. In 1990, they attended Universidad Simón Bolívar, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Juan spent five years there, completing their studies in 1995.

In the year 2000, Juan attended Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. Juan participated in the IT Appreciation Programme, which provided him with a comprehensive understanding of Information Technology.

In 2004, Juan joined Tulane University - A.B. Freeman School of Business, where they earned a Master Certificate in Business Management. This program offered him specialized knowledge and skills in the field of Business Management.

In 2006, Juan attended Cranfield School of Management, where they completed the Operations Management Excellence Program. This program focused on enhancing their expertise in Operations Management.

Finally, in 2013, Juan enrolled in IMD to pursue the General Managers Transition Programme. This program aimed to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of General Management.
