Sarah Woodyard is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in historical clothing, education, and costume interpretation. As the owner of Sewn Company since March 2019, Sarah Woodyard has been leading online hand-sewing classes and serving as a scholar of 18th-century clothing. In the role of Vice President of Education and Programs at the Costume Society of America since April 2020, Sarah Woodyard has contributed significantly to educational initiatives. Previously, Sarah Woodyard worked at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for over a decade as a Journeywoman Milliner and Mantua-Maker, engaging in research and reproduction of period garments while educating the public about 18th-century trades. Additional roles include management of intern programs and social media outreach for the Margaret Hunter Millinery Shop. Sarah Woodyard holds a Master of Arts in Material Culture from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Clothing from The Ohio State University.

We seek members who are involved in the study, education, collection, and preservation, presentation, and interpretation of dress and appearance in our PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE societies.
