Grant Neilson

Grant Neilson is a Senior Computational Biologist at CoSyne Therapeutics since March 2023, previously serving as a Bioinformatician at Fios Genomics from September 2020 to March 2023. Grant has experience as a Graduate Research Analyst in the Complex Disease Epigenetics Group at the University of Exeter, where responsibilities included developing a high-accuracy Illumina EPIC array quality control pipeline and a tissue prediction algorithm utilizing machine learning. Grant obtained a Master of Science with first-class honors from the University of Southampton, with a final year project focused on polygenic risk scores for age-related macular degeneration. Previous roles include internships at Southampton General Hospital's Neuroscience Group and Bioinformatics Department, contributing to research on Alzheimer's disease and statistical analysis. Additional experience includes summer positions in immunology research and as a sailing instructor, enhancing teamwork and leadership skills.
