Arthur Daniels

Arthur Daniels is currently the Underwriting Manager for Canada at Coterie Insurance. Arthur has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, holding various positions such as Senior Underwriter, Pricing Analyst, and New Business Underwriter.

Arthur Daniels began their career in insurance at Zurich Insurance plc in 2009 as a New Business Underwriter. Arthur then moved to LeasePlan Insurance in 2013 as a Pricing Analyst. In this role, Arthur was responsible for developing a pricing tool for SME portfolios using Generalized Linear Modelling and Emblem software. This tool allowed business partners to rate premiums more accurately according to risk profile. Arthur left LeasePlan Insurance in 2017 to join DAS Legal Protection Inc. as a Senior Underwriter. In this role, they were the point of referral for team members and helped develop collective underwriting knowledge within the team. Arthur left DAS Legal Protection Inc. in 2021 to join Markel Canada as a Senior Underwriter, underwriting sport, recreation, and leisure risks. Arthur is currently the Underwriting Manager for Canada at Coterie Insurance.

Arthur Daniels has a Bachelor of Business Studies and French from Waterford Institute of Technology. Arthur studied abroad for a semester in French Language and Literature at IPAG Business School. Arthur also has a Leaving Certificate in Honours from Yeats College Waterford and a Junior Certificate in Honours from Newtown Secondary School. In addition, Arthur Daniels is a Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) and is currently working towards their Management Diploma in Insurance (MDI).
