Karina Amaro

Karina Amaro is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II in the Microbiology Department at Cottage Health, with experience in providing microbiology testing across multiple healthcare facilities. Since November 2018, Karina has utilized a variety of microbiological techniques, including molecular methods like PCR, and has been involved in quality control and process improvement initiatives. Additionally, Karina has overseen the validation of advanced testing instrumentation and has trained numerous laboratory interns and scientists. Previously, Karina served as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Intern at Cottage Health and held positions in pathology grossing and microbiology at Pacific Diagnostic Labs. Karina holds a Bachelor's Degree in BioMolecular Science from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
