Mimi Dent

Mimi Dent is a highly experienced clinical resource nurse at Cottage Health System since December 2000, specializing in high-risk antepartum, labor, and postpartum care, as well as obstetric perioperative nursing. In addition to serving as a charge nurse and preceptor, Mimi is involved in various system-wide committees focused on quality improvement and pain management. Currently, Mimi also works as an expert nurse reviewer at Pascal Metrics, providing insights into obstetric care through the analysis of electronic medical records. As a clinical instructor at California State University Channel Islands, Mimi plans and teaches maternal child health nursing to pre-licensure students. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from California State University Fullerton, a Master's of Science in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing from The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, Mimi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
