Maria Broz has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Maria started their career as a Patient Care Technician at Cottonwood Tucson in 2005 and later served as a Milieu Manager for their Sweetwater Adolescent Program. Maria also worked as a Lead Patient Care Facilitator and Registered Nurse for staff development at the same facility. In 2017, Maria joined Banner - University Medical Center as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Maria eventually returned to Cottonwood Tucson as the Director of Nursing and is currently serving as the Chief Nursing Officer.
Maria Broz graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Following this, they attended Pima Community College from 1999 to 2002 and obtained a liberal arts degree. In 2015, Maria returned to Pima Community College, where they completed an Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse in 2017. Additionally, Maria has obtained various certifications, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications in 2017 from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. Maria also became a Registered Nurse in 2017, certified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Furthermore, Maria earned a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Instructor certification in 2008 from the Crisis Prevention Institute.
