Santosh Hegde

Santosh Hegde is currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Couchbase since February 2023, having previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Visa from March 2020 to February 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing engineering within the Visa Data Platform as a Service Group. Prior to Visa, Santosh worked at IBM India Software Lab from July 2007 to March 2020, starting as a Software Engineer and advancing to Senior Software Architect, leading the Db2 Warehouse on Cloud development team and contributing significantly to SQL query compilation, columnar database technologies, and managed data warehousing services. Santosh's extensive experience includes development work on IBM dashDB, DB2, and Informix Dynamic Server, as well as an internship at HP ISS Lab focused on DMTF SMASH implementation. Santosh holds a BE in Computer Science from B. M. S. College of Engineering, completed in 2007.
