Dr Souleymane Diop

Dr. Souleymane Diop, Ph.D has had a diverse work experience in various scientific and educational roles. Dr Souleymane started their career as an Internship Trainee at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from April 2003 to March 2007. In February 2008, they joined the Council for Geoscience as the Chief Scientific Officer. Since September 2009, Dr. Diop has been working as a Senior Lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology. Overall, Dr. Diop has demonstrated their expertise and commitment to the field of geoscience through their positions at prominent organizations.

Dr. Souleymane Diop obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering from Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD). Dr Souleymane then completed a Master of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the University of Tsukuba. Additionally, they pursued a short-term course in Project Management at the University of Pretoria.
