Vice President Of Program Strategies & Education + Sustainability Initiatives at Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)

Sara Kozlowski, dMBA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Sara is currently the Vice President of Program Strategies / Education + Sustainability Initiatives at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to this, they were the Director of Education + Sustainable Strategies/ Dept Head at CFDA from September 2015 to October 2020.

Sara also worked as a Fashion Collection Final Year Course Mentor at Polimoda from October 2017 to June 2019. Before that, they gained experience in academia, serving as the Director of External Projects and Assistant Professor of Fashion at Parsons School of Design - The New School from January 2012 to September 2014. Sara also worked as an Associate Director of Fashion/Full Time Faculty at Academy of Art University from January 2006 to December 2011.

Furthermore, Sara had a role as a Senior Lecturer at LaSalle DHU from 2004 to 2006. Sara started their career in the fashion industry as the Designer and Founder of their own brand, sara kozlowski: CAKE., from 1995 to 2001. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Designer and Assistant Designer at Anna Sui from 1993 to 1998.

Sara Kozlowski, dMBA, pursued higher education with a focus on design and business. Sara began their educational journey in 1989 at Parsons School of Design - The New School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion Design. From 2008 to 2011, Sara furthered their academic pursuits at the California College of the Arts, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Design Strategy. These educational experiences demonstrate Sara's commitment to combining their artistic abilities with a sound understanding of business principles.
