Leigh Elyse King has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the fashion industry. Leigh Elyse began their career at Zac Posen House of Z LLC in 2013, where they worked as an Executive Assistant to Zac Posen for a year. Following this, they joined J.Crew in 2014 as an Executive Assistant. In 2015, they moved on to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), starting as an Events & Projects Coordinator and progressing to roles such as Senior Associate of Events and Projects, Marketing and Events Manager, and Associate Director of Special Projects + Experiences. Currently, Leigh holds the position of Director of Special Projects and Events at CFDA, responsible for overseeing various programs, partnerships, and events. Throughout their time at CFDA, Leigh has played a key role in organizing significant events, such as the CFDA Fashion Awards and spearheading initiatives like A Common Thread, which raised $5 million for Covid-19 relief in the American Fashion Industry. Leigh's expertise lies in managing events, executing projects, and fostering collaborations within the fashion industry.

Leigh Elyse King pursued their education at FIDM, from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained an Associate of the Arts degree in Merchandise Marketing. Following this, they attended LIM College from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) degree specializing in Fashion Merchandising and Visual Merchandising.
