Cecilia Brain

Cecilia Brain is a Senior Economist at the Council of Ontario Universities since November 2013, with a diverse academic and professional background that includes roles as an Assistant Professor at various institutions, including Trent University, College of Charleston, and Western University. Cecilia served as Project Manager for the Hispanic Baroque Project at the University of Western Ontario, where responsibilities included drafting a $2.5 million SSHRC MCRI grant proposal. Previous experience encompasses significant contributions as an International Business Researcher for the Rotman School of Business, producing numerous case studies and sections for an international business textbook, as well as roles as an International Development Analyst and Healthcare Industry Research Analyst. Cecilia holds a PhD from Western University and multiple master's degrees from the University of Toronto and Universidad Pablo de Olavide, showcasing a strong foundation in Economics, History, and Spanish Language and Literature.
