Dr Chrisoula Papadopoulou (Chris)

Dr Chrisoula (Chris) Papadopoulou has extensive work experience in the field of supply chain management, education, and business development. Since 2019, they have been working at Rotterdam Business School where they serve as Principal Lecturer and MSC Programme Coordinator, responsible for the design, development, and execution of the MSC programme, as well as the development of research lines. Dr Chrisoula (Chris) also teaches courses on supply chain analysis, sustainability strategy, and trends in supply chains.

In addition to their role at Rotterdam Business School, Dr Papadopoulou has held various positions at CSCMP - Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals since 2014. Dr Chrisoula (Chris) served as the President of CSCMP Benelux R/T and held roles such as Board Member, Chair of Education, and Chair of Human Capital in the organization.

Before joining Rotterdam Business School and CSCMP, Dr Papadopoulou worked as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Safescan in 2019 and founded their own company, so to... business, in 2013 where they developed and delivered business training and mentoring programs.

Their previous experience also includes roles such as Director of Business Development at The Value Chain Academy, Head of Department of Business & Management and Professor at Webster University, EMEA Supply Chain Planning Program Manager at Nike, Assistant Professor at Robert H. Smith School of Business, and Lecturer at MIT School of Engineering - Center for Transportation & Logistics.

Dr Chrisoula (Chris) Papadopoulou has a diverse and extensive education history. Dr Chrisoula (Chris) obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration - Operations from The American College of Greece between the years 1993 and 1996. Subsequently, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at the University of Glasgow from 1996 to 1997.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Dr Papadopoulou completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Logistics & Supply Chain from the University of Glasgow from 1997 to 2001. Their dedication to lifelong learning and professional development led their to obtain a Global Leadership Academy Certificate in Higher Education Leadership & Governance Development from Webster University in 2015 and 2016.

In 2020 and 2021, Dr Papadopoulou attended Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained two Qualification Certificates. The first certificate, Basiskwalificatie Didactische Bekwaamheid (BDB), pertained to their skills in didactics and pedagogics. The second certificate, Basiskwalificatie Examinering (BKE), focused on their expertise in examination.

Additionally, Dr Papadopoulou holds an edX Verified Certificate for Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles from edX, which they obtained in July 2023.
