John Ohnstad has a diverse work experience. John worked as a Sr. Director of Business Development at NFI, starting in August 2020. Prior to that, they served as the VP of Membership for the Portland Round Table at CSCMP - Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals starting from March 2020. John also has a background in music, having worked as a Bass Trombonist for the Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra since August 2014, as well as for Big Horn Brass since May 2014. From 1984 to 1988, John Ohnstad attended Lakeridge High School and obtained a High School Diploma with a focus on College Prep.

From 1988 to 1993, John Ohnstad pursued higher education at the University of Arizona. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing and Music Performance.

In 1995, John Ohnstad enrolled in Dale Carnegie Training and completed the Sales Advantage program. This program provided him with education and skills in the field of Sales Advantage. John completed this program in 2000.

In 2000 and 2001, John Ohnstad attended Miller-Heiman, where they earned a certification in Strategic Selling.

Aside from their formal education, John Ohnstad also obtained additional certifications. In 2008, they became a Certified Transportation Broker through the Transportation Intermediaries Association. In April 2020, they obtained the title of Vice President of Membership at the Portland Round Table, which is an institution affiliated with the CSCMP - Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
