Clara Galan Manso

Clara Galan Manso serves as the Head of Sector for IT Governance and Data Protection at the Council of the European Union since October 2020. Previously, Clara held the position of Program Manager for Information Security at the European Patent Office from August 2016 to October 2020 and worked as an Expert in Network and Information Security at the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) between November 2013 and July 2016. Clara’s career also includes a role as Head of Unit - Systems Security and Information Security Officer at the Spanish Ministry of Defense - ICT Subdirectorate from November 2008 to October 2013. Early in the career, Clara gained experience as a Trainee Information Technology Officer at INAP Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública and as an ICT Systems Engineer at INSA, Ingeniería y Servicios Aeroespaciales. Clara obtained a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2006.
